The .sport domain can be naturally used by individuals, businesses, organizations as well as community groups, promoting a diverse and dynamic community within the .sport namespace. This matches well and is consistent with the multicultural and vibrant community involved in sports played around the world. One of the applicants, DotSport seeks to run the .sport generic Top Level Domain, for the benefit of the sport community: sport clubs, sport event sponsors, supporter clubs, federations, etc. The goal is to provide a mean for showing the belonging to a clearly identifiable community, which shares common values throughout the world.
