What name can I register?
Responsibilities
- Applicants shall be fully responsible for their chosen domain names.
- Applicants must ensure that domains applied for registration do not harm the interests of the third party and are not used for illegal purposes.
- Any person who or which breaches the provisions of the preceding paragraph or if the relevant operations of its domain name is deemed a threat to the security and stability of the Internet, such domain name will be suspended immediately.
- In the occurrence of the situation referenced in the previous paragraph, the domain name holder must, within sixty days, provide an explanation, submit supporting evidence and/or make the necessary corrections.
- If the provisions of the preceding paragraph are not observed, the domain name will be cancelled, without prejudice to other obligations incurred.
Reserved Domains
- Reserved domain names include the following categories:
- cpr144449003101
- All domain names consisting of one character;
- All domain names consisting of two characters;
- Generic Top-Level Domains (GTLD) and Industry Category Top-Level Domains as announced by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (i.e. ICANN);
- Country-Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLD) as announced by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (i.e. IANA);
- Technical Terms and other reserved domain names as announced by the Macao Network Information Center.
- Unless there is a justifiable reason, applications of domain names found within the list of reserved domain names will not be accepted.
