Botswana is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. It is rather flat and largely covered by the Kalahari Desert. It shares borders with South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe. It has a population of around 2 million people and the two official languages spoken are English and Setswana.
Once one of the poorest countries in the world, Botswana has become one of the fastest growing economies in recent years, achieving a standard of living comparable to Mexico and Turkey. cpr144449003101 Much of the economy is supported by natural resources, such as gold, uranium, copper oil, and most notably, diamonds.
