What name can I register?
What is the first step of the registration process?
You must first check to make sure that the domain name you want is available. You can do this by using our search application or a Whois application.
Can I get a "rushed" .GQ domain name registration?
No. 101Domain.com registers domain names on a first come, first served basis.
How long does it take for my domain name to be activated?
Upon successful registration, we will add your domain name into our system, which usually takes no more than a few working days. However, it may take up to 72 hours (3 days) for your domain names to propagate throughout the Internet.
The .gq Registry will not accept the following domain names for registration:
Names that are already registered ("first come, first served" -principle) or cpr144449003101 that are put on hold. A name is put on hold if:
- Legal proceedings, whether within or outside the scope of a court of law, are in progress over that name, or
- The .gq Registry has asked the domain name holder to replace his registrar in case the registrars contract with the .gq Registry is terminated.
Names will be registered for the person whose application is completed first, notwithstanding earlier applications for those names that are not yet complete.
An application is complete when it is received with all the required data by the .gq Registry computer system (not when it was sent).
The refusal to register a domain name by the .gq Registry does not create any rights (priority rights or other) for the applicant.
The applicant may file a new application, in competition with anybody else, if that name later becomes available to the public.
