.ABOGADO Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to register (and continue to be a registrant of) a domain name in the .ABOGADO TLD, the registrant must be a Qualified Lawyer. For the purposes of this Eligibility Policy, a Qualified Lawyer is a professional who is licensed to practice law by an approved regulator of legal services in a given jurisdiction. A Qualified Lawyer must be identifiable as a currently licensed practitioner in the public records kept by the relevant approved regulator.
Applications for domain names in .ABOGADO using a registrar proxy or privacy service or any other service having an equivalent effect will not be allowed. Providing false information may lead to the deletion of your registration with no refund given.
The .ABOGADO registry will engage an independent third party (the Validation Company) to carry out the verification of applicants against the Eligibility Criteria in this Eligibility Policy. The .ABOGADO registry reserves the right for the Validation Company to contact applicants in order to request any further information or supporting documentation that it deems necessary to satisfy itself as to whether or not an applicant meets the requirements of this Eligibility Policy. Validation may occur for each registration year.
If the registry is unable to verify the lawyer's qualifications or if the registrant does not qualify, your application will be rejected and a $25 per year ordered is non-refundable. Once your application is submitted to the registry, the $25 non-refundable per year order is applicable. Certain names may be reserved or considered premium names.
