Domain Name registrants are required to have a valid physical address in Kyoto Prefecture, Japan. Proxy/trustee services are not allowed.

All Registrants must remain in compliance with the nexus requirements at all times. The Registry will conduct scans of registration data from time to time in order to ensure compliance with the registration requirements. Any failure of a registration to satisfy the Nexus Requirement will result in the name being placed on a hold for an initial period of 30 days. The registrant will be notified of such hold and given the opportunity to correct any information. If the Registrant does not comply during the hold time frame, the domain name may be subject to deletion.

Some domain names may be permanently or temporarily reserved or restricted for registry operations, as premium domain names or to comply with ICANN requirements.

To comply with ICANN requirements, all two-character domains shall be initially reserved, however may be released in the future. In addition reserved names for a) International Olympic Committee, b) International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and c) Intergovernmental Organizations, for new gTLDs., are not available in accordance with ICANN.
